Rosie, 4 Years Old

What is iFoster?

Rosie is one of the 9 breeder surrenders from MO. Rosie is such a big sweetheart. It is so sad when you think of the circumstances she probably came from but she seems to have forgotten all of that and is just so appreciative of everything we do for her and can't give us enough kisses. She loves to cuddle and will follow her foster mommy and daddy all over the house and jump up on our lap almost the second we sit down. She has the softest fur I have ever felt on a pug.  She gets along well with the other dogs and the cats as well. She may have some sight impairment but it doesn't slow this girl down! She seems to have caught on really fast with potty training and has only had one accident in the house so far and that was when she went into our home for the first time. She is sleeping in the kennel at night and that is going well also. We will know in approximately 1 month if she is pregnant and if she is her estimated date to have her puppies is on or about July 22nd.

On June 28th Rosie was taken in by her foster mom to have an ultrasound done. It appeared to the vet their was 6 (possibly 7 puppies). The vet estimated the weights to be 2 to 2 1/2 ounces. It was difficult to tell if any would be in the breech position as they are still small enough to toss and turn. The estimated due date is July 22!

Update July 16, 2010 - Rosie is getting close to delivering her puppies. Her belly is measuring in at 25 inches biggest area and the poor little girl has a difficult time getting up from the floor once in awhile.  Even in her condition, she is such a happy pug, she is loving being treated like a princess, and loves her canned Science Diet puppy food and can never get enough. She is sleeping in her whelping pool at night and loves all the soft blankets in there to keep her comfy. We are pretty sure we are still on target for a date of delivery on or about July 22nd.
